Further statement from EHT

We understand that some people who previously lodged objections on the planning application for the main O&M development (Planning Application Ref 20/000523/FUL) have indicated that the submission of the planning application for the new shore dive access road might allow them to consider to withdrawing their objection.  While we would not wish to influence or pressure anyone to do that, we would encourage anyone who wishes to  withdraw their objection to email the Planning Officer, Paul Duncan directly as soon as possible to state their position (email Paul.Duncan@scotborders.gov.uk), quoting reference 20/00523/FUL).  Currently the objections mean that the application determination is delayed as it must go to Planning Committee as there are more than 5 objections.  This has wider implications for the overall project program.  If the grounds for those objections are now dealt with and people are sufficiently satisfied, it would possibly avoid unnecessary delays if the objections were withdrawn.
